BATHROOM

A bathroom renovation cost in NZ typically ranges between $15 – $50K. Moulded showers and PVC manufactured wood grain flooring is at one end of this cost, with tiled showers and frameless glass with wall to wall Italian tiles at the other end. Let us find the best balance for your budget.
The most common vanities are a wall-hung or floor standing vanity at 900mm, 1200mm or 1400mm. LED backlit mirrors are taking the world by storm, but they don’t offer enough task lighting on their own. Feature painted walls or wet areas wallpaper can really add that wow factor. Internal box gutters are notorious for leaking in NZ's climate. My Reno Guys prefer an internal gutter conversion replacing internal gutters with external spouting and downpipes and can make this a simple and cost-effective option for you.
We use trusted brands and materials factoring in NZ conditions such as high UV and coastal salt spray. Colorsteel, Marley PVC spouting, Marley Stormcloud, Marley Typhoon, continuous copper guttering, Zincalume and Aluminum seamless spouting are all favourites. Many available in half round, quarter round and a range of profiles to suit your home.

Handyman hourly rates are typically $45 - $85 per hour depending on the trade speciality required. For registered tradesmen the rates can be more so best to start by speaking with a handman in case your requirement is more simple. Often a handyman can do the bulk of the work at a lower rate and if necessary call in one of our regular specialists for the final fit-off.
DECKS

Are you asking do I need a building consent to build a deck? If your deck is over 1.5 metres you may do. If your deck is load bearing such as for a spa pool you may do too. Depending on your deck proximity to a boundary you may need Resource Consent. We can give you practical advice and ways you can change your redesign to avoid some of these things also. Otherwise, we can help guide you with the paperwork for council approval.

PERGOLA
